eating your favorite

on my shoes
best woman's friend

sun at last—
was hidden
beneath the weeping tree

belated sun
from beneath
the weeping tree

peering from
behind the weeping tree-
sun at last

constant wedgie—
knows my butt
has gotten bigger

swimsuit wedgie
my butt

late August
plum juice
down my chin

dripping juice down
my chin
summer’s last plum

dead of summer
plum juice
dribbling down my chin

dead of summer
dribbling down my chin
plum juice

the plum tree
juice runs down my chin

dusty vase
up books

mom’s crystal vase—
a dusty bookend
at my sister’s house

vase of dust
books as one

dusty vase
books together

yellowing pages
against the vase

forgotten tome
on the vase

dusty vase
in support of
unread books

book end—
an empty,
dusty vase

worm wiggles
away from the rains
only to find suicide

worm wiggles
to get away—
suicide mission

worm wiggles
away from the rain . . .
suicide mission
