Life in the Form of Haiku

Tara Goheen

Haiku is all about observing and putting words on paper. Write what you see, feel, hear. I enjoy writing about people the most. Expect honesty; that's who I am.

bedroom doorway
he swings his lanyard
smiling at me

lost in the woods
we search for
something familiar

droopy eyes sulking around
pretty as ever,
paw prints on the hardwood

he holds her back . . .
the only love
she counted on.

stepping stones
lead to nowhere,
but memories

he holds on to her
promises of a new life
falling in love

night time kisses
momma's girl
all grown up

car ride to nowhere
everything calm
nothing planned

once loved,
twice bitten,
a scarf for the neck

crippled man
looks forward to my presence
rummy time
